Mr. Timmy Lee Rogers

Mr. Timmy Lee Rogers, age 52 of King, North Carolina, and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born in Patrick County on February 25, 1960. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Lee Rogers; his grandmother, Annie Hall Rogers; and a cousin, Mark Rogers. He had driven trucks for Nascar teams such as the Richard Petty team, the Dale Earnhardt Team and many others, and worked in the pit area with several of the Nascar racing teams. He most recently drove for country music singers, Big and Rich, and their band.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his mother, Annie Gray Rogers of South Boston; one sister and brother-in-law, Sherry R. and Danny Smith of South Boston; one niece, Angel Dawn Wilkins; and one nephew, Andrew Rogers Wilkins.
Funeral services for Mr. Rogers will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Peters Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
