Mr. Timothy Dalton Hiatt

Mr. Timothy Dalton Hiatt, 59, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry County on May 8, 1957 to the late Junior Lafayette and Irene Julia Koontz Hiatt. Mr. Hiatt was employed at Nester Hosiery. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia “Diane” Marsh Hiatt of the home; a step daughter, Audrey Hodges Simpson and husband Tim; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Wilford Vernon, Sylvia and Ed Coons, Joan Allen and friend Michael Haynes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Shelly Hiatt, Warren and Debbie Hiatt, Ben Hiatt and fiancée Christine Waskiel, Eric and Cathy Hiatt; his mother-in-law, Alma Moser; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Reed officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
