Mr. Tom Wilson Anderson

Mr. Tom Wilson Anderson, 99, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Mr. Anderson was born in Surry County on March 14, 1913 to the late William "Bill" Henderson and Martha Jane Snody Anderson. He was a retired farmer and beekeeper and was a member of Mt. Herman United Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Allene and Robert "Sonny" Joyce of Pfafftown, Margie Ruth Rogers of Rural Hall; four grandchildren, Teresa Ashburn and Deborah Rogers both of King, Bobby and Gwen Joyce of Pacentla, CA, Annette and Chris Fishel of Rural Hall; eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Allene Inman Anderson; a son, David Dean Anderson; a son-in-law, A.J. Rogers, a great grandson, Shea Ashburn, four sisters, three brothers. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 11, 2012 Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Harry Sherrill and Rev. Keith Love. Burial will follow in Mt. Herman United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home.
