Mr. Tommy Goins

Mr. Arthur Tommy Goins, 74, of Pilot Mountain passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on March 21, 1942 to the late Arthur Lester and Callie Mae Keith Goins. Mr. Goins was a retired Brick Mason. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Bowman Goins; daughters and son-in-law, Vicky Goins Stone; Tammy Goins Rogers and Anthony; a son, Tommy Dennis Goins; grandchildren and spouses, Tasha Nicole Stone Lawson and Joshua, Terry Robert Stone, Jr., Amber Leslie Stone, Jacob Evan Rogers and Amber, Adam Lee Rogers; great grandchildren, Carter, Corbin, Camden, Chloe, Oxley, Tristan, Isabella, and Aaron; a sister and brother-in-law, Glennis Henderson and William. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Michelle Goins; and a sister, Mary Magdalene Bowman. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Carter Chapel – Goins Family Cemetery with the Rev. Don Fellows, Bro. Anthony Rogers and Bro. Harlow Goins officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to leaving for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Airy, NC 27030 to assist with the funeral expenses.
