Mr. Troy Truman Johnson

Mr. Troy Truman Johnson,87, of Mt. Airy passed away at his home Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born in Surry County on January 5, 1930 to the late Troy and Surrilda Ferguson Johnson. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Devona Shumate; extended family, Patsy Baskin, Tony Matthews and Libby Combs; grandchildren, Christy O’Neal and husband, Greg, Kelly Brintle and wife, Ingel; great-grandchildren, Lily O’Neal and Harper Brintle; sisters and brother-in-law, Sue and Charles Linville, and Wilma Taylor; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Judy Bunker and special nephew, Rodney Bennett. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a sister, Velma Hodges; brothers, Wayburn, Elvis, Arvil and Burley Johnson. The family will hold a private memorial service.
