Mr. Troy Ryland Turner

Mr. Troy Ryland Turner, age 62 of Woolwine passed away Tuesday night at his home. He was born in Patrick County on Feb. 6, 1951 to the late Eugene B. Turner and Fannie Hall Turner. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Christeen Bowman and Hazel "Polly" Boothe. He was a member of the Cattleman's Association and also a member of the Smith River Wildlife Club.
Surviving are two sisters, Cathleen Whitlow of Collinsville, Eunice Turner of Woolwine; three brothers and sisters in law, Hansel Turner and Judy Craig of Woolwine, Roy and Carol Turner of Woolwine, Leonard Turner of Rocky Mount; seven nieces and nephews, Penny Lester, Sue Whorley, Pam Boothe Hall, Reggie Whitlow, Michael Whitlow, Troy Newton, Travis Newton; and six great nieces and nephews, Douglas Whorley, Dustin Whorley, Tiffany Hall, Bethany Hall, Hayley Newton, and T.J. Newton.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Danny Gilley and Douglas Whorley officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitlow-Griffith-Turner Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at Troy's home.
