Mr. Vance Garland "Bo" Marshall

Mr. Vance Garland "Bo" Marshall, 67 of Pinnacle, N.C., died Saturday at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, N.C. He raced cars at several dirt tracks in the area and was a mechanic and did heavy equipment repair. He was born March 13, 1940 in Patrick County to the late Daniel Marshall and the late Ethel Hooker Marshall. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Marshall and Glen Marshall. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Cockram Marshall of the home, one daughter, Robin McGee and husband James of Pinnacle, N.C.; three sisters, Norma Sands of Pilot Mt, N.C., Mary Burnette of King, N.C. and Brenda Adams and husband Manuel of Westfield, N.C.; one brother Everette Marshall of Meadows of Dan, Va.; two grandchildren, James Garland McGee and wife Sundi and Casie McGee and one great grandchild, Kelsie McGee. Funeral services for Mr. Marshall will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, Va. conducted by Rev. Randall Smith. Burial will be at Minnie's Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 7 - 9 PM. Memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home or to the American Cancer Society.
