Mr. Victor H. Coe

Mr. Victor H. Coe, age 91 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. He was born in Surry County on February 16, 1923 to the late Ernest Cleveland and Eliza Mooney Coe. Mr. Coe was a retired farmer and a dedicated member of Stony Knoll United Methodist. Survivors include his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Blythe, of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Jamie L. Blythe of Winston-Salem, and David W. and wife Venida Blythe of Front Royal, Virginia; two great-grandchildren, Kaesi Blythe and Jacob Blythe; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Perkins, of Dobson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Coe was preceded in death by his loving wife, Opal Lundy Coe. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Stony Knoll United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Lawton. Burial will follow in Stony Knoll United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm. In-lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stony Knoll Untied Methodist Church Building Fund c/o Kay Crouse 105 Stratford Place Dobson, NC 27017.
