Mr. Wade Maynard Puckett

Mr. Wade Maynard Puckett, age 66 of Stuart, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on May 25, 1951 to the late Lawrence Isaac Puckett and Margie Bowman Puckett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Allen Puckett. Wade retired from Patrick County High School with over twenty years of service as the custodian. Wade was known for forecasting inclement weather and was loved by the students, teachers, and staff. He was an avid Wood Brothers Racing fan, loved to fish and play golf, and could be found at his home away from home W and W Produce on a very regular basis.

Mr. Puckett is survived by two brothers, Larry McRay Puckett and Dale William Puckett, both of Stuart; an Aunt, Madeline Hatcher of Patrick Springs; two uncles, Jeff Bowman of Claudville and Jack Bowman of Stuart; and several cousins.

A funeral service for Mr. Puckett will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastors Terry Collins and Kenneth Terry officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends an hour and half prior to the service at the funeral home.
