Mr. Waitman Lee Hylton, age 61 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born in Patrick County on August 17, 1948 to the late Homer Lee and Verda Conner Hylton. He was a member of Conner's View Primitive Baptist Church, and had been contracted by Pilson Brothers Lumber Company for over 30 years.
Mr. Hylton is survived by his wife, Brenda Lawless Hylton of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bradley and Katina Hylton of Stuart, and Robby Hylton, and friend, Teresa Overby, of Stuart; three grandchildren, Brent, Harlie and Chase Hylton; a special grandchild, Kaila Carpenter; one brother and sister-in-law, Waco and Lillie Hylton of Woolwine; one sister, Everine Davis of Woolwine.
Funeral services for Mr. Hylton will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Edward Bowman and Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Moody Funeral Home until time of the service.
