Mr. Warren Dee Arvin Spencer

Mr. Warren Dee Arvin Spencer, age 88 of Lowgap, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011 at Central Continuing Care. Mr. Spencer was born in Carroll County, March 9, 1923 to George Washington Spencer and Eller Senter Spencer. He worked with the CC Camp in his early years and was a retired from the sawmilling business. Surviving is a daughter and a special son-in-law, Lennis and Rev. Darvel Crotts of Lowgap; grandchildren, Mary Swift and husband Kenny, Becky Branson and Chad White, Darvel Crotts and wife Danielle, Paul Crotts and wife Janice; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lennis Wood Spencer; a son, Samuel Garrison Spencer and a granddaughter, Christine Crotts a grandson, Mark Crotts; sisters, Eva Edwards, Stellar Crotts and Elva Edwards; and brothers, A. W. Spencer, Guy Spencer and Nelson "Hobo" Spencer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darvel Crotts and Elder Arwood Edwards. Burial will follow in the Edwards-Upchurch Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Lennis and Darvel Crotts.
