Mr. Wayne Ethan Hubbard

Mr. Wayne Ethan Hubbard, age 71 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on July 14, 1935 to the late Walter Ethan and Mattie Elizabeth Agee Hubbard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton and Ernest Hubbard. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation, and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hubbard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Williams Hubbard of the home; one son, Phillip Wayne Hubbard of Valdosta, Georgia; one daughter, Patricia H. Handy of Patrick Springs; three grandchildren, Wesley Phillip Hubbard, Whitney Ethan Hubbard and Leigh Anne Grigas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie and Troy Brammer of Collinsville, India Williams of Stuart, and Essie and Garland Hughes of Patrick Springs; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harley and Ruth Hubbard and Melvin "Pete" and Iola Hubbard, and Ilene Hubbard, all of Meadows of Dan, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Ted Thisse, Rev. Jim Churchwell and Rev. Billy Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart, and at other times at the home.
