Mr. Wayne Moore

Mr. Wayne Moore age 76 of 490 Flippen Road, Lowgap, NC widower of Mrs. Mary Lou Hawks Moore passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Bill Heffner Veterans Administration Hospital in Salisbury, NC. He was born April 11, 1935 in Surry County to the late Arthur Odell and Docia Brown Moore. He was a veteran of the US Army and was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving are three daughters and three sons-in-law, Pamela and Michael Berry, Winston-Salem, Patricia and Bill Enlow, Cary, Melissa and Ken Carraway, Greensboro, a son, A.W. Moore, Westfield, a grandson, Matthew Ramey and wife, Melissa of Lowgap, two great grandchildren, Eli and Lane Ramey, Lowgap and a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Billy and Grace Moore, Mt. Airy. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Edwards and a brother, Winfred Moore. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Liberty Baptist Church conducted Rev. Billy Moore. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night 6:00-8:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes before the service.
