Mr. William General "Pete" Bowman

Mr. William General "Pete" Bowman, age 67 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 1, 1944 to the late David and Piney Bowman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by an infant son; four sisters, Geraldine Merriman, Girlene Clifton, Lucy Agee and Shirley Bowman; and two brothers, Ronnie Bowman and Danny Bowman. He was a member of Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mr. Bowman is survived by two brothers, Johnny Bowman of Stoneville, North Carolina and Calvin Bowman of Cheboygan, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Bowman will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in Mary Horner Walker Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
