Mr. William Ray Branch

Mr. William Ray Branch, 88 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Branch was born in Surry County June 4, 1923 to the late William Elmer and Maggie Kirkman Branch. He was retired from the construction business. He is survived by numerous cousins; his dog, Buttons of the home; very special friends, Curtis and Sue Braden, Doris McMillan, Della Noah and Benston Kirkman all of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Branch was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Irene Branch; a brother, Kenneth Branch. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2011 at Indian Grove Family Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Floyd officiating. There will not be a formal visitation.
