Mr. William Crawford (Bill) Clark

Mr. William Crawford (Bill) Clark, age 65 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2016 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem. Mr. Clark was born July 17, 1950 in Surry County to the late Edward Thorne Clark, Sr. and Heeth Hendren Clark. Bill was retired from Clark and Parker Lumber Company of Mount Airy where he was manager. He was a member of Granite Masonic Lodge #322 of Mount Airy and enjoyed volunteering at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Clark was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church and The Gideons, Mount Airy camp. Surviving are one sister and brothers in law, Heeth and Rainer McCown and Jeff Walters; two brothers, Ed Clark and Woody Clark and his wife, Vernita; nieces, Kevina Satterwhite, Alicia Hoadley, Anna Koelewyn, Shyla Magner, Kristin Grue, and Evie McCown. In addition to his parents Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Walters. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 25, 2016 at 4:00 PM at the Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Muckler and Rev. Jim Pyatt officiating. A private interment service will be held at Oakdale Cemetery. The Clark family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service in the Ladies’ Parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Church, memo: Stephen Ministry, 1909 North Main St. Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the Clark family.
