Mr. William Eugene Easter

Mr. William Eugene Easter, age 75 of Cana, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Easter was born in Carroll County on March 19, 1937 to Garland and Hattie Dowell Easter. He served our country in the United States Army and was retired from Renfro Corp. Surviving is his loving and faithful wife of forty six years, Sue D. Easter of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Johnny Ashburn of Pilot Mountain; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Arlis Hodges of Mt. Airy; and brothers and sister-in-law, Roy and Dora Easter of Mt. Airy and Martin Easter of Cana and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by brothers, Troy Easter, Bobby Easter and Coy Easter. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2012, at Skyline Memory Gardens by Pastor Terry Johnson. There will not be a formal visitation. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
