Mr. William Wayne Galyean

Mr. William Wayne Galyean, age 69, of Mount Airy, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born July 18, 1948 to the late Thomas Anderson and Belle Edwards Galyean. Mr. Galyean proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was also a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Patricia Galyean, Timothy and Samantha Galyean; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and mike King; two sisters, Judy Cockerham, Peggy Edwards; fourteen grandchildren. In addition to his parents Mr. Galyean was preceded in death by a son, Adam Galyean; daughter, Marie Galyean; grandson, Jimmy Galyean Jr., sisters, Mary Golding and Betty Meredith; brother, Leroy Galyean. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Crooked Oak Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. James Odum . Military honors will be provided by the Army National Guard and VFW Honor Guard post #2019 of Mount Airy.
