Mr. William C. "Bybo" Gilley

Mr. William C. "Bybo" Gilley, age 68 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on April 4, 1941 to the late John Henry and Almarine Deal Gilley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elma Jewel Fulcher Gilley; six brothers, Jasper, Grady, Woodrow, twins Roy and Troy, and Calvin Gilley; and three sisters, Mae, Charlene and Barbara Ann Gilley.
Mr. Gilley is survived by one step son and daughter-in-law, William and Linda Roberts of Critz; three step daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and Phillip Brewer of Madison, North Carolina; Alpha Spaulding of Patrick Springs and Marie and Bernard Wilson of Stuart; seven step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue Gilley of Woolwine and Amy Kitten Essick of Stuart.
A graveside service for Mr. Gilley will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Nettle Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ed Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. If desired, memorials may be made to the William C.
