Mr. William Clarence Jenkins

Mr. William Clarence Jenkins, age 81 of Ararat, VA, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Northern Hospital. Mr. Jenkins was born in Patrick County on April 15, 1930 to Dora Marshall Jenkins and Hobert Jenkins. He was a loving husband and father and a member of Doe Run Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Hiatt Jenkins of the home; sons, Mike Jenkins of Ararat and Jerry Jenkins and fiancée Vonda McMillian also of Ararat; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Dwight Hook of Jerome, MI; a brother and sister-in-law, Victor and Sandy Jenkins of Leslie, MI and a half brother, Harvey Sawyers of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Thorold and a half brother, Shelby Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Doe Run Baptist Church by Rev. Terry Vaughn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Jenkins will lie in state at the church from 1:00 until the hour of the service.
