Mr. William Noel (Willie Noel) Martin

Mr. William Noel (Willie Noel) Martin, 79 of Lawsonville, North Carolina passed away January 24, 2018 at Life Bright Community Hospital of Stokes in Danbury, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County, Virginia on May 18, 1938 to the late Andrew J. Martin and Gladys Clark Martin. In addition to his parents, Willie Noel was preceded in death by two brothers; Akers J. Martin and Franklin D. R. Martin; three sisters; Rachel M. Wade, Margaret M. Pendleton and Jessie M. Slate. He had retired from East Hampton Rubber Thread after becoming disabled. He was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.

Willie Noel is survived by his wife of 62 years Ruby M. Martin of the home; two daughters, Brenda M. Conner and husband, Tommy of Stuart, Deborah M. Corns and husband, Mike of Lawsonville, North Carolina; one brother, Fred Junior Martin and wife, Betty of Stuart; one sister, Frances Hopkins of Stuart; four sisters-in-law, Polly Martin of Bassett, Mary H. Martin of Stuart, Dot M. Purdy and husband, Frank of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, Sue Ellen Gattalaro of Kernersville, North Carolina; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Martin and wife Barbara, of Walnut Cove, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Morrison and Elder Scotty Marshall officiating. Burial will be in the Martin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
