Mr. William Maynard Martin

Mr. William Maynard Martin, age 56 of Stuart passed away Thursday morning at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on Jan. 28, 1951 to the late James Edgar and Della Mae Martin. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Handy; and an infant brother and sister. Mr. Martin attended Vesta Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are; six sisters, Jean Day of Martinsville, Marie Hall of Martinsville, Annette Belcher of Stuart, Brenda Worley of Woolwine, Judy Hylton of Stuart, Kathy Folks of Christiansburg; five brothers, Ted Martin of Meadows of Dan, Odell Martin of Florida, Ray Martin of Bassett, Fred Martin of Stuart, Lawrence Martin of Stuart; his fiancee, Janet Martin of Stuart; five godchildren, Melissa Belcher, Jamie Martin, Joseph Martin, Amanda Martin, Rachel Branch; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Vesta Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastors J.R. Vipperman, Jonathan Goins, and Randy Rippey officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart and at other times at the homeplace.
