Mr. William Elgin Roberson

Mr. William Elgin Roberson, age 93 of Ferrum, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on March 3, 1918 to the late George and Mary Eanes Roberson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Jamison Roberson; one daughter, Frances R. Ashley; and one brother, Charles Roberson. He had retired from Stanley Furniture, and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Mr. Roberson is survived by two daughters, Brenda Roberson of Stuart and JoAnn Roberson of Collinsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Teresa Roberson of Spencer; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece, Mary Ellen Nolen of Greensboro, North Carolina; and two nephews, Gary Lee Roberson of Stuart and Wade Spencer of South Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Roberson will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Union Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Mark Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
