Mr. William Wade Robertson

Mr. William Wade Robertson, age 66 of Lowgap, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at Baptist Hospital. Mr. Robertson was born in Carroll County on March 7, 1946 to Husie Anderson "Ann" Robertson and Ossie Viola Tolbert Robertson. He will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. Surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law, Vestal and Beulah Robertson of Lowgap and Gary and Ruth Robertson of Westfield; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Faron Deatherage of Cana, VA; Virginia Dawson; Annie and Smiley Edwards all of Lowgap and Linda and Johnny Noah all of Dobson, Jessie Stevens and Anthylene and Lynn Haynes all of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by sisters, Carlene Robertson, Shelvia Snow and Helen Gwyn, a brother, Clarence Robertson and his step mother, Irene Galyean Robertson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Ivy Green Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Atkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Vestal Robertson. Mr. Robertson will lie in state at the church thirty minutes prior to the service.
