Mr. William "Bill" Harry Roughton

Mr. William "Bill" Harry Roughton, age 86 of Stuart passed away Saturday at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Pennsylvania on Dec. 5, 1926 to the late William Francis Roughton and Christine Zimmerman Roughton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, George Roughton and Raymond Richard "Dick" Roughton. Mr. Roughton served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Ruth Penley Roughton of Stuart; three daughters, Connie Heidorn of Ft. Meyers, FL, Lorraine Mabe of Winston-Salem, NC, Leslie Turkington of New Jersey; several grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Pulaski of Baltimore, MD.
A memorial service will be held Wed. Feb. 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Martinsville with Elder Duane Matthesien officiating. Burial will be private.
