Mr. William Irvin Sowder

Mr. William Irvin Sowder, age 86 of Stuart passed away Friday at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on June 23, 1926 to the late Pearl Perdue. In addition to his mother he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ed Lester. Mr. Sowder worked in the Maintenance Department for the Patrick County School System.
Surviving are his wife, Earlene McAdams Sowder of Stuart; one daughter, Brenda Sowder of Patrick Springs; two sons, Randy Sowder of Stuart, Robert Sowder of Woolwine; and three grandchildren, William Taylor, Caiden Coleman, and Jonathan Sowder.
A graveside service will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Churchwell officiating.
