Mr. William Lowell Stevens

Mr. William Lowell Stevens, age 89 of Stuart, passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 at R. J. Reynolds Patrick County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on March 10, 1917 to the late Lewis and Lou Willard Stevens. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Stevens, a brother, Ervin Stevens; and a sister, Lois Stevens.
Mr. Stevens is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Shelby Stevens and Lewis and Ervie Stevens; and one daughter, Mary Jane Collins, all of Stuart; seven grandchildren, Wayne Stevens, Lisa Spence, Gail Ramsey, Tim Collins, Susan Shough, Kristie Clifton and James Stevens; ten great-grandchildren, Michael Stevens, Danny Jefferson, Jessica Eckrote, Tiger Spence, Majen, Ty, Kaden and Laken Collins, Ben Shough and Loegan Clifton; and five great-great-grandchildren, Destiny Gray, L.J., Ian, Serinity and Ethan Eckrote; and one brother, Carl Stevens of Ararat.
Funeral services for Mr. Stevens will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. J. R. Shelton and Rev. Mike Hundley officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
