Mr. Willie "Bill" S. Goins

Mr. Willie “Bill” S. Goins, age 75 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at N.C. Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Patrick County on Feb. 8, 1941 to the late Ruby Goins. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Lynn Goins; a grandson, Brandon Bowman; and a brother, James Goins.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Betty Meredith Goins of the home; three daughters, Joyce Wolfe and fiancé, David Bennett, Kay Pack, Penny Bowman all of Mt. Airy, NC; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Deborah Goins of Ararat, Billy and Lisa Goins of Stuart; six grandchildren, Christopher Dale Goins, James Robert Goins and wife, Shanna, Destiny Goad, Curtis Goins, Tommy Bowman, Rylan Bennett; one sister, Linda Jones of Stuart; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Stadie Goins of Patrick Springs, Carl and Tammy Goins of Claudville, Charlie Goins of Ararat; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Stuart Church of Christ Cemetery in Dry Pond. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
