Mr. Willie Reed Martin

Mr. Willie Reed Martin, age 75 of Stuart, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on October 29, 1936. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Charles Leon Martin; a daughter, Linda Conner Layman; the mother of his children, Norma Jean Boyd Martin Hylton; his mother, Cubie Catherine Martin; and two brothers, Vance Elmer Martin and James Adolph Martin. He had been a sawmiller and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Martin is survived by five sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte Chaney Prillaman and Chester of Stuart, Nancy Martin Strothers and Scott of Stuart, Mary Fulcher Bray and Chuck of Penhook, Martha Martin Goode and Randy of Bassett, and Judy Martin of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Martin will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Harold Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
