Mr. Winfred Leon Hylton, age 73 of Stuart, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on March 3, 1939 to the late Isaac Arthur Hylton and Sarah Belcher "Winnie" Hylton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hylton was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Hylton. He was a longtime member of Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mr. Hylton is survived by his wife, Christine Turner Hylton of the home; one daughter, Iris Bryant of Stuart; one son, J. L. Hylton of Stuart; two grandchildren, Justin Hylton and wife, Brittany, and William Hylton and wife, Silvia; two soon-to-be great-grandchildren, Heaven Grace Hylton and Sofia Shanell Gonzalez-Hylton; one sister and brother-in-law, Inez and B.C. Martin of Woolwine; and one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and JoAnne Hylton of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mr. Hylton will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Trent Wall and Brother Joe Cerino officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church, and at other times at the home.
