Mrs. Agnes Rorrer Shuff, age 82 of Woolwine, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on February 3, 1926 to the late Talton and Maggie Foley Rorrer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shuff was preceded in death by one sister, Beadie McCraw, and two brothers, Henry Rorrer and Freeman Rorrer. She was retired from J. P. Stevens Corporation and was a member of Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as past president of the Women's Ministry.
Mrs. Shuff is survived by her husband, Warren Shuff of the home; three sons Douglas Shuff, Sr. and wife, Dorcas, of Clemmons, North Carolina, Barney Shuff of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Bennett Shuff, and wife, Pat, of Woolwine; one daughter, Rebecca Clark, and husband, Ron, of Woolwine; five grandchildren, Tabitha Shuff Sigmon, Andrea Clark Woods, Tonya Shuff Randolph, Felecia Clark Beasley and Doug Shuff, Jr.; five great-grandchildren, Damian Beasley, Zachary Randolph, David Sigmon, Hannah Beasley and A. J. Sigmon; and two sisters, Dora Wingfield of Ridgeway and Inez Hall of Bassett.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shuff will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church with Revs. Kenneth Terry, Bobby Rakes, Malcolm Herndon, and Trent Wall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
