Mrs. Allene Haden Harbour

Mrs. Allene Haden Harbour, age 88 of Collinsville, and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. She was born in Patrick County on April 8, 1923 to the late Worth and Elna Pendleton Haden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harbour was preceded in death by one sister, Gladys Dillon; and four brothers, Clyde, Earnest, Hoy and Marvin Haden. She had been a member of Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church for over 50 years, and had a radio program with her husband called the Blue Ridge Sweethearts for several years.
Mrs. Harbour is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis Harbour of the home; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Hylton of Stuart, Ruby and Cotton Vaughn of Collinsville and Eva and Ray Vaughn of Stuart; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Moir and Elva Haden, and Ralph and Marjie Haden, all of Woolwine; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Harbour will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Donnie Conner and Elder David Kamoda officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
