Mrs. Alma Snow Hazelwood

Mrs. Alma Jean Snow Hazelwood, 67, of Mount Airy passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Surry County on September 5, 1944 to the late James Clyde and Ila Mae Stanley Snow. She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Karen Hazelwood and fiancé Arnold McMillan, Deborah and James McMillan and Jennifer and fiancé Chris Poole all of Mount Airy; a son, Robby Hazelwood of PA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister Linda Collins of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Carol Snow and Leroy and Virginia Snow also of Mount Airy; several special nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hazelwood was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Melton "Bob Jr." Hazelwood; a sister, Joann King; two brothers, Robert Snow and Infant Jimmy Snow. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2011 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by Rev. Johnny Easter with burial to follow in Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017.
