Mrs. Anna Frances Snody Jessup

Mrs. Anna Frances Snody Jessup, age 87 of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Northern Hospital. Mrs. Jessup was born in Surry County on April 2, 1929 to Powell and Allie Blanche Arrington Snody. She was retired from Northern Hospital after many years of dedicated service and she was also a faithful member of Woodville Baptist Church. Those who will always cherish her memory are her daughters and son-in-law, Anna and Tim Callaway and Sherri Babb; her dear grandchildren, Joel Callaway, Dan Callaway, Ben Callaway, Powell Babb, Anna Babb and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jessup was preceded in death by her husband, Basil E. Jessup; a sister, Reva Haymore; and all her brothers, Raymond Snody, Otis Snody, G. C. Snody, Frank Snody, Jack Snody and Earl Snody. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Chaplain Joseph Smith and Pete King. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
