Mrs. Annie Mae Casstevens Holder

Mrs. Annie Mae Casstevens Holder, age 78, of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017, at her residence. Mrs. Holder was born in Surry County on December 4, 1939 to John Henry and Inez Beck Casstevens. She was retired from Surry County Public Schools with 28 years of service. She was a member of Mount Airy First Pentecostal Holiness Church and a very devoted servant of the Lord. Mrs. Holder’s precious memory will always be cherished by her precious family, husband of 58 years, Billy Jack Holder; daughters and two sons-in-law, Glenda and Darrell Sutphin, Brenda Sutphin, and Barbara and Edward Dalton; three grandsons, Alan Sutphin, Josh Sutphin, and John Dalton; one great-granddaughter, River Sutphin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Malzie Beasley, Irene and Dennis Blackburn, and Alene and Bill Cail; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Casstevens, Delmer and Linda Casstevens, Bill and Billie Sue Casstevens, Charles and Karen Casstevens, Graham and Sandra Casstevens, Homer and Shirley Casstevens, and Frances Casstevens. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katrina LeAnn Dalton; sister, Mozelle Shore; and brothers, Rev. Jack Casstevens, Arvil Casstevens, and Paul Casstevens. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Mount Airy Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Brian Frazier, Rev. Tommy Vass, and Rev. Edward Dalton. Burial will follow in Whitakers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Holder family.
