Mrs. Annie Lorraine Tate Norman

Mrs,. Annie Lorraine Norman age 80 of 169 Hutchens Street, Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Howard Swanson Norman passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born August 19, 1932 in Surry County, to the late William Jackson and Mary Lou King Tate. She was of the Baptist Faith and was retired from Spencer's Inc. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Mildred and Manuel Gonzalez, and Kathy Pack all of Mt. Airy, grandchildren and spouse, Misty Draughn, Independence, VA, Ashley and Chad Hooker, Mt. Airy, Dale Sechrist, Mt. Airy, five great grandchildren, a sister, Emma Butcher, Elkin, and two brothers, Donald Tate and Johnny Tate both of Mt. Airy. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by a son, Charles Norman, a sister, Hattie Monday and two brothers, Harvey Tate and Bill Tate. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 10, 2013 at New Bethel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy McCraw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 9:30 am Monday until time of the service at New Bethel Baptist Church.
