Mrs. Annie Lee Russell Overton

Mrs. Annie Lee Russell Overton, age 75, of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Home in Dobson. She was born in Grayson County on February 5, 1942 to the late Coy Lawrence Russell and Bertha Mae Wilson Russell. Mrs. Overton was the owner/operator of Eco Knit. She is survived by her husband, Dexter Overton; a daughter, Carol King and Bill Senter; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roger Wayne Dollyhite and wife Jackie, and Darren Overton; one grandson, Shawn Roger Senter and wife Jennifer; a great-grandson, Isaiah Roger Senter; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Wendall McCann, Phyllis and Roger McCraw, and Brenda and Tommy Johnson; a brother, Lawrence Russell; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Debbie Russell; and special friends, Tim and BJ Collins. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Overton was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy Joseph Russell; and a sister-in-law, Betty Russell. A graveside service will be held at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 2:00PM with the Rev. Tim Collins and Rev. Butch Holder officiating. There will be no formal visitation for Mrs. Overton at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to moody Funeral Service, Inc., PO Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030 to assist the family with final expenses.
