Mrs. Barbara Hope Martin

Mrs. Barbara Hope Frisbie Martin, age 64 of Ararat, VA passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Martin was born in New Milford, CT on August 20, 1947 to late Russell Peck and Barbara Tani Frisbie. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Martin worked as a lab tech for Mt. Airy OB Gyn as long as her health permitted. She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Martin of Mt. Airy, Andrea and Ray Helms of Ararat, VA and Sherri and Joe Carroll of Edgewater, FL; six grandchildren; one great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, John Milford, Martin. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jerry Whitlow. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
