Mrs. Beatrice McMillian Mitchell

Mrs. Helen Beatrice McMillian Jones Mitchell; age 80, of Cana, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Twin County Hospital. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Carroll County on May 17, 1937, to Robert and Bertie Jones McMillian. She was the owner of Bea’s Produce and was a member of Paul’s Creek Church. Surviving is a granddaughter, Shelly Jones and husband Nathan Rife; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda and Ray McMillian, Blanche Murphy, Betty and William Tate, and Barbara Hall; brother-in-law, Melvin Jones; a sister-in-law, Barbara McMillian; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carrie Pipinos, Crystal Hill and Sue McMillian. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Jones, her second husband, Robert Mitchell; and her son, Eddie Jones, a sister, Bonnie Jones, and a brother Foy McMillian. Funeral services will be held at 3:30, Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Darrell Tate and Weldon Jones. Burial will follow in Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday one hour prior to the service.
