Mrs. Betty Louise Hughes

Mrs. Betty Louise Dobson Hughes, age 81, of Boonville, NC passed away on January 3, 2019, at the SECU Hospice Center, in Yadkinville, NC.  She was born on August 27, 1937, to the late Harvey Abraham Dobson and the late Lura Tucker Dobson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two deceased sisters Martha Jane Boles, Mary Magdalene Boles;  seven brothers James, Calvin, Richard, Harvey Jr., Leroy, Ernest, and Dewitt Dobson.  Mrs. Hughes was retired from a Textile Mill, and, a former member of Pleasant Union Missionary Baptist Church.  Surviving is her husband, William Lester Hughes; two daughters, Lisa Hughes, Teresa Hughes; four grandchildren, Malaya (Christopher) Caudill, Antoine Bailey, Quentin (Jessika) Bailey, Andrew (Jenny) Hurt; nine great-grandchildren.   A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday January 19, 2019, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home, by Rev. Theodore Dobson and Rev. Sam Puryear.  There will be no other services held at the Funeral Home.
