Mrs. Betty Lou Creasey Menges

Mrs. Betty Lou Menges, 78, of Mt. Airy passed at Golden Living Sunday, November 17, 2013. She was born in Surry County on April 10, 1935 to the late Robert Lee and Lottie E. Creasey. Mrs. Menges was a homemaker and member of Christ Community Church. She was the devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Menges is survived by her husband Rev. Ronald W. Menges, Sr., VA Medical Center, Salisbury; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy L. and Donald Prior of Blaine, MN , Alice and Mike Ayers of Mt. Airy; son, Ronald W. Menges, Jr and Prisilla of Louth, England, and foster son, Joseph James May, III of Red Lake, MN,; grandchildren, Joseph James Prior, Michel Lee Prior; Katie Marie Menges, a brother and three sisters-in-law, James Creasy and Hulda, King, Mae Creasey, Mt. Airy, and Sherry Creasey, Richmond, VA, In addition to her parents, Mrs. Menges was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Alice Creasey, brothers, Roger G. Creasey, Kenneth D. Creasey, Roy Creasey , Charles Creasey, Alvin Creasey and Robert Lee Creasey, Jr.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Brady officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
