Mrs. Betty Jean Hazelwood Moore

Mrs. Betty Jean Hazelwood Moore, age 78 of Yadkinville, North Carolina, and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born in Patrick County on May 4, 1932 to the late John Preston Hazelwood and Grace Blackard Hazelwood. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Earl Moore; one sister, Melba Moran and three brothers, Joe, Alvin and Ronnie Hazelwood. She was a member of Big A Church of Christ.
Mrs. Moore is survived by a daughter, Tina M. Morrison of Yadkinville; one son, Raymond Earl Moore, Jr. of Spencer; two grandchildren, Chasity Crews and Christina Lilly; five great-grandchildren, Madelyn Crews, Samuel Crews, Noah Crews, Jacob Lilly and Sara Lilly; and one sister, Eldean Edwards of Martinsville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Big A Church of Christ with Pastors Lawrence Warden and Rick Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
