Mrs. Beverly Lynn Curry

Mrs. Beverly Lynn Curry, age 55 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina after a hard battle with cancer. She was born on August 19, 1960 in Galax and was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Daniel Spangler; a brother, Kenneth “Wayne” Spangler; and a mother-in-law, Nancy Curry. She faithfully attended Meadow United Methodist Church and loved being a Nana to her grandbaby, Tessa. She also loved her dogs, Sassy and Pebbles.

Mrs. Curry is survived by her husband, Dale Curry of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Thaddeus and Tyger Curry of Stuart; a granddaughter, Tessa Paige Curry; her mother and step-father, Myrna Cox Spangler Austin and James Austin of Stuart; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Lisa Spangler of Stuart; two step-brothers, Michael Austin of Kingport, Tennessee and James Austin, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina; a father-in-law, Raymond Curry of Stuart; nieces and nephews, Ashley Spangler Dean, Jordan Spangler, Kirsten Spangler, Chelsea Spangler, Nathaniel Curry, Kim Steele, Mickey Curry; Sarah Proksel, Katie Peatross, Ben Curry and Scott Curry; great-nieces and nephews, Kayleigh Dean, Mia Rose Spangler, Taylor Spangler and Korben Dean.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Meadow United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Collins officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church.
