Mrs. Bonnie Louise Bowman Hall

Mrs. Bonnie Louise Bowman Hall, age 78 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Burke Hollow, West Virginia on March 31, 1938 to the late Walter and Hazel Blevins Bowman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Esmond Dewey Hall; two brothers, Ted and Bobby Bowman; and a sister, Mildred Harris. She was a member of Reed Island Springs Baptist Church. She was most passionate about her flowers and flower gardens and loved her dogs. She was lovingly called “Nanny” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored, and felt that her greatest accomplishment in life was her four daughters.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Lewis Largen, Sherry and Peter Spring, Betty and Steve Lineberry and Teresa and David Lyons; five grandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Ashleigh, Lori and Zach; five great-grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, Abigail, Addison, and Aliana; a brother, Kenneth Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Reed Island Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in Knowles Eden Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church, and at other times at the home.
