Mrs. Bordie Nunn McMillon

Mrs. Bordie Nunn McMillon, age 72 of Kibler Valley Rd., Claudville passed away Wednesday May 2 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Mt. Airy, NC on March 21, 1935 to the late Abe and Laler "Cindy" Smart Nunn. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, R.C. Nunn, Odell Slate; and 4 sisters, Ordie Underwood, Myrtle Nunn, Lillian Bowman, and Cubie McCormick. Mrs. McMillon was retired from Balston Knitting Co. in Mt. Airy, NC and also worked as a janitor for the U.S. Post Office in Ararat. She was a member of the Stuart Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, James L. McMillon of the home; one son and daughter in law, Keith and Donna McMillon of Ararat; one daughter and son in law, Terrie and Alan Gwyn of Claudville; two grandchildren, Jordan Blake McMillon and Joshua Taylor McMillon of Claudville; one step granddaughter, Billie Dawn Hester of Austin, TX; one brother, Kermit Nunn of Ararat; four sisters, Virgie Hazelwood, Ergie Bowman, Essie Inman all of Claudville, Zelma Doss of Stuart; and several special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dry Pond Community Building. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
