Mrs. Brenda Gail Gravely

Mrs. Brenda Gail Norman Gravely, age 59 of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Gravely was born in Surry County on December 4, 1953 to Henry Wilson and Loline Hawks Norman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a devoted member of Welcome Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband of forty-two years, Jimmy Gravely of the home; a daughter, Gina Gravely and fianc`e Jarad Morton of Mt. Airy; a son, Tim Gravely and fianc`e Courtney Blackburn also of Mt. Airy; a grandson, Ethan Morton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva and John Valley of King; Frances and Bobby Billings of Dobson; Glenda Norman and Mike Gravely of Mt. Airy; Sherry and Tony Martin also of Mt. Airy; Rhonda and Gurney Atkins of Dobson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward Norman of Charlotte; Jack and Frances Norman and Roger and Glenda Norman all of Mt. Airy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gravely was preceded in death by brothers, Billy and Joe Norman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Maple Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Woody Flippen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
