Mrs. Brenda Puckett Mauldin

Mrs. Brenda Puckett Mauldin, age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday morning, August 5, 2016. She was born on March 26, 1944 in Surry County to the late Lawrence Reese Puckett and Bertha Hicks Puckett. Mrs. Mauldin is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Arnold Ray Mauldin of the home; a son, Michael David Mauldin; a daughter, Betsy Suzanne Mauldin; grandchildren, Erica Renee Mauldin Hawks, Daniel Wayne Mauldin, Hollyann Abigail Mauldin, Mikaylee Marie Mauldin, Katie Leanne Cox, and Emily Hope Odum; and two great grandchildren, Zevin and Easton Hawks; a sister, Gracie Trindade; a brother, David Puckett, all of Mt. Airy; and two daughters-in-law, Yvonne Marie Mauldin Keibler of Pilot Mountain and Tammie Renee Tilley Mauldin Holt of Dobson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mauldin was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Wayne Mauldin; three sisters, Bertha Mae Puckett, Princess Hazelwood, and Sylvia Lusardi; and two brothers, P. D. Puckett and Wade Puckett. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 in the Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery at 2PM with Rev. Billy Watson officiating. Family will receive friends on Sunday night, August 7, 2016 from 6PM to 8PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1288, Mount Airy, NC 27030, to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
