Mrs. Brenda Faye Davis McCarty

Mrs. Brenda Faye Davis McCarty, age 59 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, December 01, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. McCarty was born in Pulaski, VA on April 30, 1952 to Jimmy Lee and Alma Mae White Davis. She was employed with Life Span where she was a devoted caregiver. She also worked with The Easter Seals. Mrs. McCarty was a member of Laurel Springs Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband, Everett "Oakie" McCarty of the home; daughters, Sherry Outlaw and husband Michael of Mt. Airy; Lisa Weddle and friend Rick Pierce of Fancy Gap, VA and Kimberly McCarty and friend Kimberly Holt of Mt. Airy; a son, Jeremy McCarty of Hillsville; grandchildren, Donald Outlaw, Stephanie Outlaw, Jesse James Outlaw, Sebastian Robinson, Zoe Robinson, Samantha McCarty, Katherine Isaacs, Aidan Isaacs, Matthew Isaacs, a great granddaughter on the way, Addison Grace Outlaw; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Wes Thompson of Ararat, VA; mother-in-law, Shirley Meachum and husband Voris of Columbus, OH; step father-in-law, Ralph Fox and friend Alice Gray of Limestone, NY; a brother-in-law, Richard McCarty, Jr. and wife Susan of Delaware, OH and sisters-in-law, Linda McNamara and husband Eddie of Radnor, OH and Judy Meachum and husband Randy of Fredericktown, OH. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCarty was preceded in death by a brother Gary Lee Davis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Blaine Oakley and Bro. Brian Pack. Burial will follow in the Thompson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
