Mrs. Brenda Carol Snow McCraw

Mrs. Brenda Carol McCraw, age 65, of Mt, Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. McCraw was born in Surry County on May 10, 1951, to Mac Snow and the late Nellie Jo Hall Snow. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Surviving is her devoted husband, Glenn Junior McCraw; daughters, Laurie Holderfield, and Penny Dunbar; grandchildren, Josh Holderfield and fiancée AJ Culler; Bailey Holderfield and fiancée Rachel Hull; a great granddaughter will be welcomed in September; her father, Mac Snow; brothers and a sister-in-law, Marty Snow and Steve and Sharon Snow; and special uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Mrs. McCraw was preceded in death by sisters, Sheila Snow and Sharon Annette Snow; and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Holderfield. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Holy Cross Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Butch Holder and Rev. Bill Spurlin. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service. The family would like to express a special thank you to American Health Care’s CNA’s, Surry County EMS, and Baptist Hospital ICU for the compassionate care given to Mrs. McCraw. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
