Mrs. Brenda Gail McMillian

Mrs. Brenda Gail Jennings McMillian, age 56 of Cana, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at her home. Mrs. McMillian born in Stokes County on January 21, 1955 to James and Mary Katherine Eaton Jennings. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and wonderful friend to so many who will miss her dearly. Mrs. McMillian was formerly employed with Proctor Silex and Wal-Mart. Surviving is her devoted husband, Charles McMillian of the home; a daughter, Rachel "Kathy" Morton of Mt. Airy; two sons, Larry Morton of Mt. Airy and Dennis McMillian of Galax; grandchildren, Tyler Hiatt, Alisha, Cheyenne, Salinda and Brandon Venable, Trenton, Amber and Fisher McMillian; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Shirley Jennings of Dobson and Mike and Pat Jennings of Cana; and special friends, Barbara Coe, Dinky Jones, Judy Deathridge and Margaret Hawks. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home by Rev. Rawley "Dink" Haynes. Burial will follow in Flower Gap Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
